Mrs Woods shop
c. 1920A sepia photograph of a small wooden building. Along either site is a wire mesh and wood fence.
This photo is the only known photo of Mrs Wood's shop. The shop was located on Amherst street. The building was on the corner of Amherst and Annie Street, opposite St Patricks School. It opened as a school shop for some time and later owned by the Sax family and know as Sax's Shop. It was rebuilt c1950 to a larger store. Later it was known as O'Brien's corner store and in 2009 was the rooms for the Katanning Pool Association.

On the back of the photograph handwritten in black ink is "Mrs Woods shop cnr Amhurst & Annie St."
