On the front of the postcard in white lettering is "opening of the Nampup Line 17/4/12".
On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with headings "CORRESPONDENCE" and "ADDRESS ONLY" The letter is handwritten in pencil over both of theses columns.
On the back of the postcard handwritten in pencil is "Dear mother these cars are Wells train the opening of the Nampup line from Katanning one for you one for Millly one for Willie wishing you are all well excuse note I am in a hurry. I have my organ a real beauty got it yesterday your loving daughter Em"
