GAME: CAR RACE BOARDGAME
A folding cardboard game board, with colour printing one side
Players move from square number one 'Line up to start here' to square 86 'Winning Post'. Landing on certain squares will cause the player to move forward, backwards, miss a turn etc eg. 'Downhill go forward fourteen spaces', 'Oil leak. Move back to start', 'Tunnel blocked. Miss two turns'.
One of 6 games boards from the same donor.
The games belonged to donor's husband who grew up in Nedlands. He used the games in childhood in the 1940s, and then passed them down to their 3 children. In the late 1960s and 1970s the games were used at their family home in Shenton Park, and then retained until donated.
