GAME: 'NUGGET GOES TO SCHOOL' BOARDGAME

Overview

A folding cardboard game board, with colour printing on both sides.

On cover, 'Nugget Goes to School. A new and fascinating game'. On reverse are the rules and 'Presented by the Manufacturers of 'Nugget' Boot Polish'. Games squares measure 27 x 27 mm. Printed in five colours, one vertical fold.

Board game (board only) with grid squares numbererd 1 to 99 taking players from home square (start) to school square (finish). Some squares move the player forward and other squares move the player backward. Designed to be played with a dice and counters or buttons for each player.

Historical information

One of 6 games boards from the same donor.

The games belonged to donor's husband who grew up in Nedlands. He used the games in childhood in the 1940s, and then passed them down to their 3 children. In the late 1960s and 1970s the games were used at their family home in Shenton Park, and then retained until donated.
