This photograph was in the possession of Charles John Pell b 17/10/1886, son of George and Elizabeth Pell nee Brown. He enlisted on 22/05/1916 was wounded in action 22/04/1918. (AIF Barcode 8017019)
It was donated to IDHS by John V. Rowland.as part of the collection of his grandmother Gertude Rowland (Pell) sister of Charles.

Originally owned by Charles John (Charlie) Pell (1885-1959), this photograph was donated to the Irwin Districts Historical Society by Pell's great nephew John V Rowland in 2011.
Pell was a boundary rider at “The Grange”, Irwin. He was an accomplished leather craftsman. The photograph is believed to show compatriots of Charlie's as he kept this photo along with other WW1 photos in a small leatherette wallet inscribed 'The Aussie Wallet Xmas Wishes From Australian YMCA 1918'.
Originally owned by Charles John (Charlie) Pell (1885-1959), this photograph was donated to the Irwin Districts Historical Society by Pell's great nephew John V Rowland in 2011.
