Church music was a large part of the social life of the community. This choir has 24 members.

Below the photograph on the right hand side in faded gold lettering is "H.C. Biltoff, IDEAL STUDIO, KATANNING WEST AUS."
On the back of the photograph hand written in black ink is "Rev Dav Mr & Mrs Spackman Mrs Dundes Miss Lena Gilvvert Mr C Gunter Mr Bird(Conductor, Mr & Mrs Coruttendon Rhoda + Weeks Joe" Below "Rhoda" is written "+but think Austin". Below this first line is written "Mrs Ralph Hoglan Mr Tom Boan Miss Pavy Miss Garrity", underneath this line "Miss Laura Quartermain Miss Bessie Gilbert Alex Kemble Rhodes"
Below the black ink handwriting is handwritten in blue ink "Katanning Methodist Choir - about 1910 Mr Bird (Conductor) & Mrs Bird Mr Bird was the father of Sir Cyril Bird who dies about March 1984".
Below this writing in a blue ink square is handwritten "obtained from Mr & Mrs Les Gillam 50 Oats St East Vic PK previously from Thelma Treford - Narrogin".
