This photograph is of Mary Elizabeth Newport (AKELA) at a Jamboree, the venue is unknown. The photograph is thought to be around 1950. Mary Elizabeth Newport had a long and distinguished association with scouting and was honoured by the Queen for her service. Mrs Newport was a much loved and respected member of the Scouting movement in WA and served the scouting movement in Katanning for over forty years.
