Overview

This lady’s draw-string handbag, made with silver coloured metal discs, by a well known USA bag company,

Whiting and Davis, in 1960s. The bag closes with a metal chain pulled through metal rings at top of the bag.

The label inside states: ‘ Mesh Whiting and Davis bag Made in USA”.

This company was recognised as the leader in metal mesh handbags for more than 120 years after its first mesh handbag was produced. Carried by famous actresses, musicians and dignitaries.
