Overview

An innovative use of metal on this hand machine embroidered bag by UK textile artist, Jean Mobbs-Webb in 1990s.

Metallic thread machined on a soluble fabric base, creates the fabric on which thin metal forms an embellishment.

A delicate scalloped lace edging hand machine made. The strap is made with a narrow base of organza fabric, decorative machine embroidery on the edges.
