Overview

Oroton evening bags and purses were highly fashionable in the 1960s and 1970s.

Shiny gilded brass metal discs form a fluid mesh: gilded metal frame with a twist clip fastening: gros grain sandy coloured polyester fabric lining.

Oroton, an Australian company was founded in Sydney in 1938.

This Oroton coin purse, a 21st birthday present in 1963 was a favourite of the donor.
