These four brothers were the sons of Eli Quartermaine Snr, the first European settler of Katanning. At the back (standing) left to right are :Eli Elijah, Donald Charles. Seated from left to right are Morton and Walter William. Absent is George Eli.

On the back of the photograph hand written in blue ink is "Eli Quartermaine Don Quartermaine Walter Quartermaine Martin Quartermaine"
