MGGC NAME BADGE

Overview

This name badge is intended to be worn on clothing and has a locking pin on the rear. The badges were provided to members of the Ladies' Committee.

The badge is finished in a silver plating background with a patterned border. The lettering is dark green and there is a fluorescent green triangular section between the MGGC and Barbara King lettering.

The badge is made of metal with a for securing it to clothing.

Historical information

The badge was donated by long term member, Barbara King. Barbara joined MGGC in 1981 and played for several years representing MGGC in pennant and other matches involving other clubs before she resigned in 2004. The exact date of the badge is unknown but is estimated as during the 1970s to 1980s. Photographs of women's pennant teams in the late 1970s and 1980 show some members wearing the same style name badge.
