FIVE WOMEN OF THE FORREST FAMILY
c. 1905B/W Print. A group of five women consisting of Lily Forrest on the left and her cousins. All are wearing long, light, summer dresses with long sleeves, 'wasp' waists and high necks. They are wearing or carrying gloves and the absurdly large hats of the period - one decorated with feathers and the others with scarves or veils attached. They are at the entrance to a brick building with light quoins, a decorative verandah post and lavender bushes. On the rear of the original was [Lily, Eva, Flora, Blanche, Maude Forrest.].
Elizabeth Margaret Forrest was known as 'Lily'. Eldest daughter of David and Mary Forrest of Minderoo, at 83 Bay View Terrace. Gwendolyn Maude is the daughter of Mr and Mrs PD Forrest, Blanche and Flora are daughters of George Forrest and Eva Fowler married Alec Forrest.
