1999Black and white matt finish photograph of the Brigidine Convent, 12 Salvado Road which was vacated and demolished in 1999. The site is now part of the carpark of St. John of God Hospital. The convent buildings consisted of two brick and tile houses, surrounded by shru and & small trees. A sign bearing the name Brigidine Convent can be seen at the front of the house. The sisters, of the teaching order of Brigidine nuns are now living in retirement at 13a and 13b Kavanagh St. Wembley.The sisters taught at the nearby Roman Catholic schools in Wembley. The Brigidine College, Salvado Road was re-located to Peebles Rd. Floreat which became the Junior Campus of Newman College.
