1937
Overview

Black and white photo of a building being constructed. The M shape of the roof can be seen with corrugated iron sheets. There is a cowl on the roof ridge. The rest of the building is mostly only at frame stage. A pile of bricks and two ladders lean against the sides of the frame. In the centre the very small figure of a workman is just visible in a white shirt and pants. A date is written in the lower left corner '2-3-37.' Metters factory was situated in Salvado Road on the site presently occupied by Homebase.
