1929The hand tinted photograph features Mrs Mary Newman standing in her garden. There is a brooch pinned to the high neck of her dress and a gold locket and chain around her neck. There is a tall fence on the left side of the photograph and lattice on the right with a plant staked in front.
REVERSE: In ink 'Mary Newman taken in 1929 at the age of 75.'
In lead pencil: 'Identified to 85-398 but with a different background'.
The 1929 W.A. Centenary Celebrations marked the first 100 years
of white settlement in Western Australia.
