George recorded an earned run average of 0.82 over an eight-year period (1938-1941, 1947-1950) where he earned a 38-14 win-loss record in the WA State League. On average, he would strike out 8.5 batters for every nine innings pitched and would rarely give up a walk.
In 2021 he was an inaugural inductee into the Baseball WA Hall of Fame.

As well as playing in the WA State League, George represented the state in 11 interstate championships — Claxton Shield Team Member 1936-1939, 1946-1952; Claxton Shield Outstanding Player 1950.
He was selected All-Australian four times — Team Australia Member 1947,1948, 1950, 1952; Team Australia Captain 1947. In 2005 he was inducted into the Australian Baseball Hall of Fame.
The statistics sheets were donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by the Dickinson family.
These statistics represent the outstanding baseball career of one of Western Australia's greatest baseball pitchers in George Dickinson and are of historic significance to Baseball WA.
