Japan versus Australia 1979 International Baseball Series souvenir T-shirt

Overview

A T-shirt made of yellow polyester cotton fabric, with black stretch cotton trim around the neck opening and the ends of the short sleeves. A vinyl iron-on transfer covers the top half of the front panel. Overall the transfer is triangular in shape, representing a baseball diamond, overprinted with an image of a helmeted batter swinging the bat. Also overprinted on the diamond is Western Australia's sesquicentenary logo. The logo consists of a stylised swan in colours of red, yellow and black with the words 'Western Australia 150' in black text above the swan's back. Printed below the logo are the years '1829' and '1979'.

At the top of the transfer are the words 'International Baseball' and the year '1979' is divided either side of the batter. At the bottom of the transfer, on either side of the V-shaped baseball diamond, is a black circle with a white background. The left-hand circle has 'Japan' printed on it and the right-hand circle has 'Australia' printed on it. Between the two circles are the letters 'vs'.
