1978-79 Goldfields Baseball League representative team
1979An A4-size colour photograph of the 1978-79 Goldfields Baseball League's representative team. The 'Goldfields' team are wearing their playing uniforms of a yellow short-sleeved playing top worn over a dark blue long-sleeved undershirt. Their caps are mid-blue, the pants are dark blue with yellow socks.
Above the photograph, printed in black text are the names of the league and the two competing teams, as well as where and when the game took place. Below the photograph, printed in black text, are the names of the team members.
On 1st July 1979 an exhibition baseball game was played between a Western Australian Goldfields Baseball League team and an Australian Representatives team. The game was played at the Kalgoorlie Oval and the Australian Representative team included Western Australians Rod Byrne (Coach) and upcoming Juniors Warren Hughes, George Christie and Parris Mitchell.

The photograph has historic and social significance as a record of a competition between representative teams from a Western Australian country league and Australian representative players. It is in good condition and is well-provenanced.
