Link to a performance by pianist Phillip Sear of a composition by Reginald Stuart Welch. Described as a short intermezzo from a set of six piano pieces entitled 'In the Land of the Cymry', published in 1913. The set was published by Sidney Riorden in London. Welch edited a musical periodical for Riorden.

Reginald Stuart Welch was born in London on 9th April 1890. He received a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and was described as possessing exceptional musical gifts as a pianist and promise as a composer. He also wrote journalistic articles about music. He died in London on 22nd December 1915. His death certificate records his cause of death as tubercular disease of suprarenal capsules, now known as Addison's Disease.
Reginald joined the Franco British Red Cross at the start of WWI and worked as an orderly in hospitals in Bar-le-Duc and Rovigny. He received the French Victory Medal and the British War Medal.
