Overview

Blue and yellow neck ribbon with 28 nameplates pinned along both sides. All nameplates have gold bordering, with some of copper, gold and silver metal colouring. Each nameplate has a first and last name, with years of service inscribed underneath. A blue and gold pin with [PRESIDENT] printed on it is located on the bottom of the neck ribbon. A faded blue and gold medallion with text [KELMSCOT] is pinned at the end of the ribbon. The medallion is a wheel with [ROTARY INTERNATIONAL] inscribed. The two sides of the ribbon are attached at the top by 2 black Velcro pieces.

Historical information

Worn by the president of the Kelmscott Rotary Club. Each nameplate has a name and the length of their term.

Rotary presidents are expected to conduct club, board meetings and assemblies. They are to elect members and work with district governors. They are responsible for finanical budgeting and creating safe environments for youth participants.

They also work with our club leaders to develop yearly goals with strategic plans.

Rotary International was formed on February 23 1905 by Paul Harris. Rotary International aim at providing aid and action to improve the health and livelihood of people and their communities, at local, national and international levels.
