1949Bob Russell at the 50th Anniversary of Polocrosse at Wandecla, Kojonup. October 1999. Bob was the founder of Polocrosse in Western Australia.
Bob was a keen player of Polo, but noticed that women and children could not join in competitions. He purchase polocrosse equipment and organised demonstration matches of polocrosse - first at the Kojonup Showgrounds - during the annual show, and then at other district Shows. Within a year competitions had begun.
