Historical information

Blue bottle manufactured by F.H. Faulding & Co and was used at the Naringin Inn. The bottle is believed to have contained castor oil which was often used to combat constipation and skin aliments. F.H Faulding & Co was an Australian pharmaceutical company started by Francis Hardy Faulding in Adelaide in 1867 with Luther Scammel. The company was known early on for its antiseptic made from eucalyptus oil. In 1890 the company expanded to Western Australia and continued to manufacture and distribute pharmaceutical drugs. By 1986 the company had a national coverage and continued to grow into one of Australians largest pharmaceutical warehousing and distributing companies.
