EPNS BUTTER DISH BASE
1900 - 1960Small silver round plate from butter dish. Concave with small inner rim. Stamped with makers mark on base. Badly tarnish.
In 1938 the owners of the Narrogin Inn, Mr and Mrs W Gaynor redeveloped the hotel into a modern hotel with a Tudor inspired design but with modern conveniences. This electro plated nickel silver butter dish, made by Chancery, was possibly purchased for the new dinning room. The butter dish was acquired by Stan Gregory in the 1960s when he was working at the Inn.
