The plaque has a dark grey border and a silver background with a silver pin on each corner. In the bottom left hand quadrant of the plaque is a Telstra logo and the text: [TELSTRA / triathlon series / 2012/13] in green, white and yellow print on a black background.
Below the Triathlon series logo is the text: [Presented to: City of Armadale / Thank you for your support / of the 2012/2013 Telstra Triathlon Series] in white letters on a green background.
[TriEvents / Event Management] is written on the right hand side at the bottom in white letters, together with a TriEvents logo.
On the back is a maker's sticker.
The Telstra Triathlon Series was sponsored by the telecommunications company Telstra but was run by TriEvents WA. Different sponsors over the years would have their name on the promotional material for the events.
The triathlon in 2012/2013 composed of 5 different race days starting from December 2012 to March 2013. The second race - which the plaque was made to thank the City of Armadale for - was run on the 12th of January 2013 at Champion Lakes.
TriEvents WA commenced operation in roughly 2001 and eventually shut down in July of 2018 due to presumed financial trouble.
