DVD - 'BLAME'

Blame was produced by Factor 30 Films, a Western Australian production company and received funding from ScreenWest and Lotterywest. The film had a $2 million budget and was principally shot over 20 on location at a house in the Roleystone hills. The film also was shot on location at the Armadale District Hall and at the Canning Dam. Students from the Roleystone District High School started as extras in the opening scene of the film and Roleystone resident Glen Martin was a sound recordist on the film.

The film was written and directed by Michael Henry and stared Damian deMontemas, Sophie Lowe, Kestie Murassi, Simon Stone, Mark Leonard Winter and Ashley Zukerman.

The film premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2010. It was shown at Armadale Grand Cinema on 1st December 2011. The film was also an official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival and the Cannes Cinephiles.

The film is a part of the Western Australian film industry that started growing in the mid 2000's. At this time several feature films starring well known Australian and international actors were produced and distributed nationally and internationally.
