The shirt belonged to Neale Harvey, a Western Australian pitcher from the Goldfields, who represented Australia in the 1986 World Youth Baseball Series Under-19 team in Canada. He has donated it to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives. The acquisition of an article of clothing from an Australian representative youth baseball team enhances the Museum's collection of Australian baseball uniform memorabilia.
This well-provenanced shirt has historic and social significance as it represents the participation of a young Western Australian baseball player in an Australian team at an international level.
