At the conclusion of the series the Australian Team for the year was selected. From the Western Australian team, George Dickinson was awarded the distinction of being appointed utility player and captain, Tom Nisbet was named reserve catcher and Glen Dunstan was appointed team manager. Nisbet was the State's outstanding player in the series; he won the trophy for the best batting average for all States.
