c. 1940Large family group, taken on wedding anniversary of Agnes Jane Langsford and Joseph Wood Langsford in garden of John Street home.
Joseph Wood Langsford was born in South Australia in 1865. Justice of the Peace, Claremont. Married to Agnes Jane Langsford. Four sons (may be more). Holberry Joseph, Arthur Norwood, Claude Nerwington, & Eckersley W. Claremont Mayor from 1899-1901. Member of the Legislative Council from 1904-1911. He died in 1957. Former Notre Dame Street was renamed Langsford Street in 1908 for his service to the local community.
