On 14th October 1840 there was a release of allotment to J.R. Phillips, and on 15th November 1843 mortgage J.R. Phillips to Patrick Taylor. On 20th August 1845 vendor J.R. Phillips purchased P. Taylor. In 1896 the property passed to Campbell Taylor, son of Patrick and on his death in 1902, to Dr. Fairbairn, the last remaining Taylor heir. The building is now a display museum for the Albany Historical Society Inc.
