INTERIOR ALBANY WOOLLEN MILLS, MILL FLOOR, WOOL LOOM MACHINERY, C1930

c. 1930
Overview

Black and white photographic image from an early 120 film negative of machinery in the Albany Woollen Mills taken some time after the factory opened in the Feb 1925. Shown here is a row of large cast iron belt driven wool weaving looms in operation. This is one in a series from P2003.357-364. Based on the selection of images in this series of photos it appears to be arranged to show the textile milling process at the Albany mill, from wool carding equipment, to spinning, to weaving.
