Memo Roll
A red rectangular piece of wood which has the face of a cat at the top with a piece of cord which connects to a mouse which has a magnet on the back of its body. The mouse is hollow and has space for a lead pencil, the nose of the mouse is the tip of the pencil. The mouse has leather ears, as does the cats ears. Below the face of the cat is a roll of paper which goes underneath a metal strip which has a serrated bottom edge at the bottom of the wood. At the top of the wood is a triangular metal hook.
The item was used to hang from a hook in the wall and people would write notes, such as shopping lists on the piece of paper using the mouse. The magnet on the body of the mouse allowed the mouse to be stuck on the piece of metal at the bottom of the wood. Once the note is complete, the paper could be pulled down and the serrated edge of the metal strip allowed the note to be torn off.
