Gosnell's Fragrant Face Powder label (purple)
c. 1907This label is a small square of printed paper with an adhesive glue backing to be used on face powder products. This label features the text "Gosnell's FRAGRANT Face Powder Invisible and adherent, JOHN GOSNELL and Co Ltd., London, Paris". This label is predominantly coloured purple. The text is surrounded by a decorative floral design, including three yellow flowers at the top and one yellow flower on the left and right sides, all connected by intricate drawings. The Fragrant Face Powder products were produced by John Gosnell and Co. The labels were printed in various colours to denote the different powder shades; four shades - Rosee, Ocre, Naturelle, and Rachel.
