Printed in blue ink at top of page “COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA” across the bank’s Coat of Arms of the period. Then typed in black ink “PERTH, W.A. / 30th May, 1955. / Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moir, / 14 Mueller Street, / LOCKYER, W.A. / Dear Mr. and Mrs. Moir, / I would like to tell you that I am / very grateful for the message written by / my brother 40 years ago. My other brother / and sisters have asked me to send you their / thanks also. The finding of the bottle after 40 / years has caused quite a lot of interest / and you may be sure we shall treasure the / message. I am writing to Clem by separate letter / and I hope one day to come and thank you / all personally. With my best wishes, / Yours sincerely, / Geo. Simpson”
