Both engraved ‘Rising Sun’ with ‘Australian Commonwealth Military Forces’ in scrolls and floral motifs over entire items.
.1a - bottom stamped ‘SC’ ‘GFSP’ ‘396’ ‘JAN’ ‘1918’ ‘SP197’
.1b - bottom stamped ‘St 35’ ‘AUG’ ‘1909’, a crown with ‘Ke 9’ underneath, with ‘PATRONFNFARRIK’ ‘KARLSRHL’ around centre of shell.
