Sheet music entitled 'Australia's Welcome to Uncle Sam (Boys of the U.S.A') March Song'. It was composed to honour the American Fleet by Joe Slater. There is a name and date in the top right corner - 'F. Heath 1908'.
The cover is mainly in blue with a cream background. The only vivid areas of colour are the three flags - American, British and Australian - and the letters 'U.S.A.' which are filled with stars and stripes of red white and blue. The title of the song is in large black font. There is a rectangle in the centre containing an illustration of one of the ships in the Great White Fleet, and a smaller rectangle on the left containing the words of the chorus of the song. Underneath that are the composer and publisher details.

The back page has a variety of advertisements for Albert's music and entertainment.

Historical information

The Great White Fleet was the name given to the group of United States Navy battleships that completed a journey around the globe from December 16, 1907, to February 22, 1909, by order of President Theodore Roosevelt.
It comprised 16 white-painted battleships divided into two squadrons, along with various small escorts.
The fleet visited three ports in Australia - Sydney, Melbourne and Albany - before departing on the next leg of their journey to Manila.
