Medallion believed to be issued to Driver Leslie Adolph Modra of Prospect, South Australia. Leslie was born in 1905 and was therefore too young to enlist in World War One. He would have been 19 when he was awarded this medallion.
The 4th Military District (4MD) during World War One was based in South Australia, but also included men from Broken Hill, Torrowangee, and Silverton in New South Wales.
