Historical information

Pamphlets and circulars collected from the Federal Canning By Election in 2015 bought about by the sudden demise of sitting member Don Randall MP. The election was held on Saturday the 19th of September. The pamphlet was produced by the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and delivered to homes in the Canning Electorate.

Statement of significance

This collection of election ephemera provides a snap shot into the political parties and organisations who participated in the 2015 by-election for the Federal set of Canning in 2015 following the unexpected death of sitting member Don Randall MP. The collection includes policies from large and small political parties. This collection also provides a rare opportunity to see political material target specifically at the seat of Canning as it was a stand alone election.
