Historical information

"The Turning" took three hours of screen time and seventeen directors to film using many different actors including, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Callan Mulvey, Miranda Otto, Richard Roxburgh, Myles Pollard, and Rose Byrne. Six chapters were shot in W.A., including scenes at Perth, Mt Gibson Station in the wheatbelt, Bluff Knoll near Albany, Broome, and Armadale. Rose Byrne filmed scenes at the Kelmscott Show, Kelmscott Caravan Park, and a house in Champion Lakes in one of the stories.
