Overview

A rectangular clear plastic case with a paper insert. The front cover is a night time scene with two people sitting on a mound overlooking a crowd of people standing around a bonfire. Above and below the scene is text stating the title, author and stars taking part in the film.
The back cover gives a brief outline of the story and various stills from the movie along with product and production information and logos. Bottom two logos are for the film production company. Left logo has red circle with a white illustrated human figure with arms stretched out and a large head with text to the side of the circle. Right logo is an oval with vertical and horizontal lines on it and text underneath it.
Inside the case is the outline of two boys running through the grass and the covers of four D.V.D.s [SNOWTOWN, BALIBO, SAMSON AND DELILAH and THE HUNTER] plus a raised central disc to locate the D.V.D.

Historical information

"The Turning" took three hours of screen time and seventeen directors to film using many different actors including, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Callan Mulvey, Miranda Otto, Richard Roxburgh, Myles Pollard, and Rose Byrne. Six chapters were shot in W.A., including scenes at Perth, Mt Gibson Station in the wheatbelt, Bluff knoll near Albany, Broome, and Armadale. Rose Byrne filmed scenes at the Kelmscott Show, Kelsmcott Caravan Park, and a house in Champion Lakes in one of the stories.
