Contextual Information

The pants are button-up rather than using a fly. As the zip-fly was more common after World War II, these pants may represent the end of a particular clothing period in the Australian Military.

Statement of significance

The objects being offered for donation do not hold a direct historical link to the town as Mr. Edwards moved to Toodyay in 1989. Despite this it is considered these items would have social significance given Toodyay's strong Returned and Services League community.
