OLIVE CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE
1890Bottle from Toodyay Library Archaeological Collection.
Olive 'champagne' style bottle, broken at neck, high kick and mamelon, thick walls.
Likely handmade.
A total of seventy three (73) objects were recovered from the north wing of the Toodyay Public Library in July 2009 including 7 glass bottles. Glass bottles represent a very useful indicator of human activity, as they are likely to have both datable makers marks and datable structural features.
