Metal (tin plate) licence plate, enamelled blue and yellow paint. Licence no. T.291. Six holes for attaching to vehicle. Small size.

Contextual information

Due to its size being significantly smaller and narrower than a standard car plate it is assumed this plate was used for a bicycle or motor bike. Bicycles were required to be registered in Western Australia from the 1910s until the early 1960s. It is believed bicycle plates were changed each year with a different colour combination being provided to denote currency of registration.
The Prefix "T" designates the Toodyay Road Board
