To Thomas Clinch, Esq., Greenough.
Dear Mr. Clinch,
It is with extreme regret we record that through ill health you are compelled to relinquish active membership of this Club. We are well aware that the stability the club now enjoys is in great measure due to your practical assistance and at all times ever ready and willing advice.
During your twenty-two years term of membership you have undertaken for a time the important duties of Secretary, whilst as Chairman of the Club, for many years, your fairness in dealing with all matters brought before you have been fully appreciated.
We sincerely regret that your health will not permit your continuing in office as President, but one and all wish you very many happy years of life in the old home near the mill, whilst the future welfare of the Club, we feel sure, will at all times be amongst the happiest moments of your thoughts.
Signed on behalf of the Members
James Reynolds, Chairman
Joshua W. Waldeck, Reuben Backshall, David Duncan, Committee.
A. Meadowcroft, Secretary.
