The portrait shows the groom seated in a carved wooden and leather chair with his wife standing next to him. Mrs Abrahams wears a knee length dress with a square neck and short sleeves and sequin detail. The veil forms a cap over the head and covers the shoulders to fall the full length of the body. The dress includes a train. She holds a large bouquet of flowers that includes roses and carnations. Mr Abrahams wears a black suit with white waistcoat, shirt with wing collar and white bow tie. He holds his gloves. The following information appears on a card with the photograph: 'Mr and Mrs Joseph Hyam Abrahams photographed following their wedding on 25th August, 1928, celebrated at the Museum Street Baptist Church. Mrs Abrahams was formerly Olga Browne of Hamersley Road and Joe Abrahams, Mayor of Subiaco for 25 years.
