PHOTOGRAPH: MRS THOMAS ON THE LAST TRAM

Image: Mrs Maude Thomas' face peers out from between the bars across the window of the tram on its last ride through Subiaco. She is holding an Australian flag and a handful of streamers. Streamers are draped around the windows and hang over the sides. Two other faces can be discerned in the shadowy interior of the tram and a lady's arm extends outwards holding streamers. A man stands facing the tram in the foreground. As a child, Mrs Thomas was a passenger on the first tram through Subiaco.
