CELEBRATION OF WA'S 150TH ANNIVERSARY
1979A coloured photo of men & women outside the Toodyay Post Office in Stirling Terrace.
Most are seen from the waist up with a number of heads hatted, bonneted and without. Most of the ladies are dressed in period clothes. The lady in focus wearing a black hat is believed to be Karen McKay. The lady to the right of her, without a hat, is believed to be Alma Lee. The blurred man at the back, in the middle, is believed to be Leslie Gordon Purser.
Behind the group can be seen an archway leading to the entrance of the Post Office, to the right of which are two white painted sash windows.
Possibly part of the 'Back to Toodyay' week held between 4th &10th June 1979. On Friday 8th June a 'Back to Toodyay Schools' day was held, as well as a Farmers' Market, historical pageant and school historical displays.
