Overview

This is a coloured photo taken outside the Toodyay Post Office of a white horse with blinkers, harness and sulky.
Within the sulky is a lady in appropriate clothing, knee rug and wide brimmed bonnet tied under her chin and she is holding the reins of the horse.
To her left is a lady in a purple gown and bonnet stepping from the sulky. The sleeves of her gown are lace trimmed as is her bonnet.
The back of a suited gentleman with top hat & glasses is to the left of the horse's head.
Another 'top' of a top hat is seen above the horse's head.

Historical information

Possibly part of the 'Back to Toodyay' week held between 4th &10th June 1979. On Friday 8th June a 'Back to Toodyay Schools' day was held, as well as a Farmers' Market, historical pageant and school historical displays. No information regarding this event
