Red Cross Hospital Worker badge
c. 1915Oval shaped metal Red Cross Hospital Worker badge. It has a painted or enamelled blue band around the inside of the thin metal border. The central area is silver metal with a red cross in the middle, above which are the words 'Red Cross' and below 'Hospital Worker', also printed in red.
The reverse of the badge is plain and has a brooch pin for attachment. There are no maker's marks.
This badge is likely to have been worn by an Australian Red Cross volunteer working in a hospital during World War One.
