ALBANY TOURIST TROPHY GRAND PRIX 1936, MOTOR CARS ON PARADE

1936
Overview

Black and white photograph and No 10 in a sequence take by C.J.Batelier on 8th March 1936. Cars lined up at the Start -Finish line in front of the Queens Park rotunda in Stirling Terrace for the 50 mile 1936 Tourist Trophy Grand Prix.

Historical information

It is tempting to view this as the race start but it does make the image as captioned by the photographer "CARS ON PARADE" difficult to interpret, even cryptic?
In any event the eventual race winner, Peter Conner, is shown here seated into his Rover car No7 with someone else, another driver, casually leaning on the bonnet??
